Nailsea children helping the poorest communities

Children at St Francis’ Primary School, Nailsea, have been putting their faith into action and supporting those in need.

They were responding to Pope Francis's encyclical, Fratelli Tutti.

The children wanted to share God’s love with children and families who are living in desperation and so have been filling shoe boxes with Christmas gifts such as toys, hygiene items and educational supplies.

• The photograph shows Year 6 children helping to load the boxes into a van so they can be taken to some of the world's poorest communities.
