Jason's achievement a knight to remember

JASON Kenny's old school has called for the Olympian cyclist to be knighted.

A win on Sunday gave the 33-year-old Kenny a seventh gold medal, making him the most decorated British Olympian in history.

And Mount Saint Joseph Catholic School, Farnworth, would like to see their old boy honoured for his achievements.

Headteacher Alex Devany told the Bolton News: "We think he definitely deserves a knighthood alongside Sir Chris Hoy and Sir Bradley Wiggins.

"As a school we feel honoured that Jason has praised staff at Mount St Joseph for encouraging his passion for the sport.”
